will be positioned at 107.3°W. The satellite is owned and will be
operated by Telesat Canada, Gloucester, Ontario. Anik F2 is
planned for launch in late 2002.
The 4711 kg
(10,364 lbm) satellite carries 84 transponders, 36 C-band and 48
Ku-band. The Boeing build BSS 702 has an expected life of 15
years, generating 17.5 kW at end-of-life. The
stowed dimensions of the satellite are 6.24 m x 3.5 m x 3.3 m.
