Orbcomm Global, L.P., equally owned by Teleglobe and Orbital Sciences Corporation, provides global two-way digital monitoring, tracking and messaging services through the world's first low-Earth-orbit satellite-based data communications system.

Orbcomm consists of 36 operational spacecraft. Orbital Sciences was the prime contractor for the Orbcomm satellites.

Commercial service began in 1998.
