Sirius
Satellite Radio Debut Delayed to Fourth Quarter
Sirius Satellite
Radio said that radios for the service will become available in the
fourth quarter. The company had thought it could get radios
into the market sometime this summer. Radio quantities will be very
limited when they first become available in the fourth quarter.
Panasonic will be the first manufacturer to market the Sirius
radios. Once Panasonic debuts its radios, other manufacturers will
shortly follow with their radios.
Sirius
Satellite Radio has enough cash to continue funding its operations,
having more than US$400 million in cash on hand, enough to keep the
company going for some time.
