Delta 4 and Sea Launch to Explore Mutual Backup Plan

Boeing Expendable Launch Services and
Sea Launch have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a
commercial agreement providing mutual back-up between Boeing's
Delta 4 family of launch vehicles and Sea Launch's Zenit 3SL. The
two companies are still discussing how to share the cost of
implementing such an agreement for issues such as the development of
techniques and adapters to allow the rapid shift of a satellite from
one vehicle to another.
