StarBand to Procure Two Satellites to Deliver Internet Services

StarBand Communications Inc. plans to procure two satellites (one active and on in-orbit spare) for high-speed Internet delivery services over the United States. StarBand satellites are planned for launch in 2003.

StarBand Communications Inc. is a privately-held joint-venture of Gilat, Echostar Communications Corp. and Microsoft Corp.
