Satellite Test Facilities Being Upgraded
Satellite test
facilities at Toulouse will be expanded by 1,000 sq m, so that they
can accommodate satellites up to 8 tonnes, increased from  the
present 5.5 tonnes. Intespace is investing US$9.8 million (EURO11.4
million) to improve the test facilities, the upgrades include
improving mechanical, thermal and electrical test facilities.
Intespace is a branch of France's Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales
(CNES).
