Americom Buying Two Additional Satellites

American Communications Inc. (GE Americom) has issued a request for
proposal to purchase two spacecraft. The satellites would include
Ka-band capacity for Internet service. GE Americom is negotiating
with Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems and Hughes Space &
Communications Co. on a contract for satellites GE 15 and GE 16.
