PanAmSat
Appeals FCC Ka-band License Revocation
PanAmSat
Corporation has asked the U.S. Federal
Communications Commission (FCC) to reinstate its licenses for two
planned Ka-band satellites. PanAmSat, in its appeal of the FCC
decision, said
the action was unwarranted because regulators had not settled
technical issues related to the design of the proposed spacecraft.
That uncertainty was responsible for the satellite construction
delay.
