Sea
Launch will move its company headquarters from the Cayman Islands
to Long Beach, California, the location of its Home Port
facilities. Sea Launch plans to move into its new offices in the
third quarter with about 30 people working in downtown Long Beach.
This move should simplify obtaining launch licenses since the
consortium will no longer be required to obtain a United Kingdom
license through the British National Space Centre, in addition to
their license from the United States, through the FAA Commercial
Space Transportation office.
