INTELSAT has retained Lehman Brothers to advise it on capital markets, business and structural matters related to privatization. INTELSAT is on an aggressive schedule to privatize by April 2001. Lehman Brothers will assist INTELSAT in maximizing the market value of INTELSAT as a private company (New Intelsat), while balancing the organization's continued objective of worldwide service. Key to this will be developing New Intelsat's capital structure and dividend policies, business planning and positioning, and determining the company's valuation in preparation for capital market transactions.
