A Proton K/DM-2 successfully
launched Raduga-1 6 from Baikonur Cosmodrome at 1645 UTC on
October 6. Raduga 1-6 is a Russian military telecommunication
satellite. The satellite will be positioned in geostationary orbit
for use by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The 2000 kg (4400 lbm)
Raduga-1 satellite series is built by NPO Prikladnoi Mekhaniki using the 17F15 Globus 2 bus.
