Imagesat Contracts with Israel Aircraft Industries for EROS B1

ImageSat International awarded a contract to Israel Aircraft Industries Ltd. for US$110 million to manufacture and launch EROS B1. EROS B1 is scheduled for launch in 2003. The camera will be developed and constructed by Elop. The EROS B series satellite are expected to have a resolution of 0.82 meters (2.7 feet) with a design life of 10 years. EROS A1 was launched using a Russian Start-1.

In late July ImageSat International and Bank Leumi signed an agreement in which the bank will provide ImageSat with a credit line of up to US$70 million dollars, with funds going for continued development of the EROS program.
