Contracts for Astrium Satellite / Long March Launch

Intelsat
has contracted with Astrium for a new satellite. The satellite,
Intelsat APR-3 will be located at 85°E, and will be launched on a
Great Wall Long March in the spring of 2002. Sinosat has acquired
rights to use six Ku-band transponders on
the satellite during the entire life of the satellite. Financial
details were not disclosed.
