EUTELSAT Orders Hot Bird 7 From Astrium

More Information:

EUTELSAT has contracted with Astrium for delivery of Hot Bird 7 to 13°E. The 40 Ku band transponder satellite will be delivered in second quarter 2002. The satellite will be equipped with a SuperWidebeam serving Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, and two steerable spotbeams that can be pointed outside of Europe to serve new geographic markets. The announcement did not mention selection of a launch provider. Financial details were not disclosed.
